Romantic, to 21st Century including classic Rock, Blues, and Jazz.

Watson’s has an extensive and diverse repertoire in a blend of Spanish, European,
South and North American traditions and alternative tunings and modalities
from ancient scales to pop-culture mainstream arrangements including
traditional classical guitar favorites, original compositions, and his
personal transcriptions of
works from piano greats like Rachmaninoff, Tchaikovsky and Chopin for both
acoustic and electric guitars, as well as country rock, jazz and blues
genres. Charles Watson performs as a soloist guitarist for private, public,
and professional venues. Charles is also guitarist for Charles Watson Hollow
Council, an "Alternative Rock Band with a Classical Hook and a Blues Edge"
with a 2008 album on CD, Time For Change, produced by Robert Metzgar and
Tony Migilore, on Platinum Plus Records, Nashville taking the classical guitar into the mainstream rock genre.
BIOGRAPHY
BRIEF
Charles
Ernest Watson, Jr. (b. 1977) is a North American composer and guitarist. A
child prodigy from a family line of musicians and artists, he began
composing and virtuoso public and professional performance on the guitar at age
9. Watson is also an accomplished pianist and known for his
transcriptions for guitar of piano masterpieces from the Romantic and 20th
Century musical eras and for his contemporary scores and symphonic
productions for modern and traditional dance troupes. A
second generation student of Joe Pass, he teaches theory,
technique, and performance for piano and guitar at Arizona's foremost
music academy, Arizona Music Academy (since 2000). A seasoned
guitarist, performer,
accomplished in the recording studio, he performs at many community, public, and private events,
informal, as well as celebrity, charity, and formal venues.
